How to Start A Life Group
One
You must be a member of Lewis Chapel Church and an active tither
Two
All potential leaders must have completed Starting Point Training
Three
Each life group must incorporate these (3) elements: Prayer, Fellowship, and applied Biblical Principles
Four
Make a list of all required materials needed for your group. They could include any books, literature, craft items; or other items you believe you will need for the group. If there are any special materials for the group, please list them as well. NOTE: ALL BOOKS AND LITERATURE MUST BE SUBMITTED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO INCORPORATING THEM INTO YOUR LIFE GROUP STUDIES
Five
Write a brief detailed synopsis of no more than 3-5 sentences (mission statement and God’s ultimate purpose for your group) explaining the specifics of what your particular life group is about and what you hope to accomplish with it
Six
Decide the days and times that you want your group to meet and if you plan on taking the summer months off.
(We recommend groups initially meet monthly)

Call our Lewis Chapel Life Groups Department to set up a meeting in person with our Life Group Coordinator
Meeting with the Life Group Coordinator
When you meet with the Lewis Chapel Life Group Coordinator you will need to bring the following things
Any books that will be involved in the life group
Please bring a copy of all applicable materials the coordinator can temporarily keep for approval purposes
Synopsis of the life group as well as proposed time, days, and inclusive dates
In some cases, we will need additional information regarding your life group or clarity in some other areas pertaining to the life group you wish to start

All Life Groups will be placed on the website, and in our Life Group Directory.
Please submit any group changes, materials, or curriculum required for approval at least two months prior to the begin date to ensure inclusion in the next edition of the Life Group Director, and to keep our website up to date.
Our Life Group Directories are updated once every quarter; we ask that any and all changes to your life group be made two months prior to the end of each quarter (Nov, Feb, May, Aug) for our directories to stay current. Please include any changes including shifting the day, time, availability of childcare, group make up or location of your life group meeting.
If you plan on changing the focus or direction of your life group or ending it, please contact your Coach and the Life Group Department to schedule an appointment to meet with the coordinator in person as soon as possible.
